Will you be visiting Hong Kong during Vinexpo Asia Pacific 2010?

I am working on a commemorative wine for the University of Hong Kong centennial celebration in 2011 and after blind tasting a whole range of wines, we settled for the 2004 Pichon Baron for QPR.

I am now contacting the chateau through Duclot to secure the supply of the wine and if you are coming to Hong Kong, we can arrange something with the university. FYI the University of Hong Kong is the highest ranking university (according to The Times) in the Asia Pacific region and the No. 1 university of choice for mainland Chinese students.

I understand, through an aside in The Telegraph, that a “Coates and Seely” English Sparkling wine will be available produced from a vineyard between Overton and Whitchurch in Hampshire.

Would this be on the site of the old Wooldings Vineyard? In your YouTube interview you mentioned fifteen year old vines?

If so I knew the old proprietor, Charles (sadly deceased before his time), and bought wine from him regularly.

I will certainly be trying your new sparkling wine and would be very interested to know if some of the grapes contributing to it come from vines planted by my old friend.
